Invenergy Donates to Burt County Fire Departments

In March, Invenergy presented Herman Fire and Rescue and Tekamah Fire and Rescue with donations totaling $5,000.

“We look forward to putting this donation toward our ongoing fundraising efforts for a new wildland fire truck,” said Herman Fire and Rescue Chief Justin Meyer. “Our team greatly appreciates Invenergy’s support as we look to invest in new equipment for our department and further protect the community against fire risk.”

“We are grateful for Invenergy’s support and will be using the donation to help purchase a new thermal infrared system that can be used to detect fire hotspots,” said Tekamah Fire and Rescue Chief Dan Allison. “It’s donations like these that help our team provide the best services possible to the community, while supporting our hard-working staff who keep our county safe.”

“We are proud to support critically important community services with these donations to local fire and rescue departments,” said Lindsay Mouw, Invenergy’s Community Affairs Lead for Nebraska. “Safety is one of Invenergy’s core values and we are proud to support the brave first responders in this community.”

These donations shortly follow Invenergy’s presence at the Tekamah Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Banquet, where they celebrated becoming a new member of the chamber.
