Community Benefits
Invenergy is continuing to work closely with Burt County and the City of Tekamah to progress the development of the Beeline Solar Energy Center. We are excited about the project and the economic development benefits it will bring to the community.
We are also excited to share that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a Determination of No Hazard for the project, confirming that it will not pose any hazard to the Tekamah Municipal Airport.
During the life of the project, the Beeline Solar Energy Center is projected to pay millions of dollars in property taxes, lease payments to landowners, salaries to employees, and payments for local goods and services, resulting in a significant increase in economic activity in the Burt County area. Local schools and county infrastructure will benefit from the increase in tax revenue.
Nebraska has strong solar resources and there is untapped potential to capture that to power homes and businesses with clean, more reliable, affordable energy. Invenergy has successfully completed development on five wind projects in Nebraska and is pursing additional wind and solar opportunities across the state. Invenergy invests more than $50 million annually in the Nebraska home communities where its projects are located.
